- No weather impacts are anticipated the next seven days.

.SHORT TERM... (This evening through Monday) Issued at 1237 PM CDT SUN SEP 28 2025

Calm weather remains in the forecast, as a surface high pressure keeps things suppressed. On Monday however, that surface high pressure will become slightly compressed, as some weak disturbances from the Atlantic work into the region. This will result in at least some low-end rain chances in our eastern zones, but unfortunately widespread rainfall remain nowhere to be seen.

Look for overnight lows tonight and tomorrow to range in the low to mid-60s, with afternoon highs on Monday ranging in the mid to upper- 80s.

.LONG TERM... (Monday night through next Saturday) Issued at 1237 PM CDT SUN SEP 28 2025

As of this morning, it appears as if our region will now remain completely free from any kind of influence from TD9. The influence from Hurricane Humberto is already starting to pull TD9 to the east, with the eventual toss out to sea still expected by sometime on Tuesday. With all of that being said, there is still a chances for an increase in rain chances by the middle of the new workweek, as some vorticity pushes west from the counterclockwise motion of TD9. Unfortunately, it still looks like this will be mostly scattered activity, and widespread rainfall remaining absent from the forecast.

Temperatures will continue to run at, or slightly above seasonal through Wednesday, before colder air gets pulled south with a cold front. This cold front won`t be associated with a traditional trough, but rather it`s getting pulled down from the NE by TD9. By next weekend, afternoon highs will range in the upper-70s to low-80s, with lows dropping into the mid-50s to low-60s.

VFR conditions are anticipated for the entire TAF period.

.FIRE WEATHER...

MinRH values will slightly increase by the middle of the new workweek, as some tropical moisture works into the region. However, this moisture will quickly get traded out for dry air, with MinRH values dropping back into the mid-30s and 40s by next weekend. Rain chances in the long-term remain limited, and drought conditions are expected to continue.
