.DISCUSSION... Issued at 1228 PM CDT Tue Sep 9 2025
Mid- to upper-level high pressure will continue to build into the Great Plains and Midwest by the end of this week. A few shortwaves will move along the eastern periphery of the ridge late this week, leading to a low to medium (20-50%) chance of showers and thunderstorms Thursday and Friday, with low (15-40%) chances continuing through the weekend, mainly over the coastal areas. Of note, the NBM has been quite bullish on PoPs in the past few weeks and it seems to be a bit too high for late this week as well. To account for this bias, have blended CONSAll into this to limit precipitation to around 50% Thursday and Friday.

.AVIATION... (18Z TAFS) Issued at 1228 PM CDT Tue Sep 9 2025

&&
.MARINE... Issued at 1228 PM CDT Tue Sep 9 2025
A gentle to moderate breeze is expected to persist this week across the Gulf waters with medium to high (40-70%) chances for showers and thunderstorms Wednesday and Thursday. As we head into Friday and this weekend, rain chances will drop to 20-40%.
