.DISCUSSION... Issued at 1256 PM CDT Mon Sep 15 2025
Currently South Texas is sandwiched between a mid-level high centered to our west over northern Mexico/west Texas, a low along the south east coast of the U.S., and another low centered windward of the Rockies. The synoptic pattern will not change much throughout the week at least for us in South Texas as pressure rises and falls due to the fluctuating high will see little change. This will allow for troughing to nose into our area and for PVA to enter the region as several shortwaves ride the periphery of the ridge and a coastal trough near the surface to help provide lift along with the daily sea-breeze. As a result, there`s a low (10-30%) chance for rain/storms tonight through tomorrow and low to medium (25-45%) chances Wednesday through the end of the week across the region. The best chances remain south and along the coast.
Highs throughout the period will range from the upper 80s along the coast to the upper 90s over the Coastal Plains and Brush Country. Lows over the period will generally range from around 70 to around 80 degrees.

VFR conditions can be expected through the entirety of the period. Winds are expected to relax across all sites around midnight (06-07Z). There expected to increase once again around mid-morning around 20 to 25 knots. There is a low chance for some MVFR ceilings tomorrow morning around daybreak to mid-morning at the ALI terminal. Confidence is low therefore it was left out of the TAF for now.
