.SYNOPSIS...
High pressure persists overhead before a weak cold front sinks south
across the lower Great Lakes on Sunday. Strong Canadian high
pressure will build south over the Great Lakes through the
middle of the week before building east towards the Northeast by
the end of the week.

.NEAR TERM /THROUGH MONDAY/...
The overall message with this forecast update is high pressure
remains in control of our weather pattern and warm temperatures.
A large upper level ridge of high pressure has developed over
the Midwest and Ohio Valley. This upper level ridge will remain
nearly stationary today into Monday. We will see mostly clear
skies and sunny conditions both today and Monday. High
temperatures today will range from the upper 70s to the middle
80s today and tomorrow. Overnight low temperatures will range
from the lower to upper 50s tonight.

.SHORT TERM /MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT/...
The upper level ridge of high pressure will continue to dominate
the weather pattern over the Midwest and Ohio Valley through the
middle of this week. At the surface, a stronger high pressure
system will build southeastward from Ontario Canada down into
the Great Lakes and Northeast U.S. later this week. As the
surface high pressure builds into the region midweek, breezy
winds will increase from the East-Northeast 10 to 15 mph Tuesday
and Wednesday. High temperatures will be warm again on Tuesday
in the upper 70s to lower 80s. A cooler airmass will push into
the region on Wednesday with high temps close to average in the
lower to middle 70s. Overnight low temperatures Tuesday night
will be in the upper 40s to middle 50s. Cooler low temperatures
will move in by Wednesday night, in the lower to middle 40s.
Some of the typical colder spots in NEOH and NWPA may dip down
into the upper 30s Wednesday night/Thursday morning.

.LONG TERM /THURSDAY THROUGH SATURDAY/...
More of the same is in the forecast through the end of this week
with high pressure staying in control of our weather pattern.
Sunny and dry weather is expected for the end of this week into
next week. High temperatures will be in the upper 60s to middle
70s on Thursday. By Friday and Saturday, high temperatures will
start climbing upward again in the 70s with a few locations in
NWOH approaching 80 degrees by next weekend. Overnight low
temperatures will be generally in the 40s with some moderation
in the cool weather by next weekend.

.AVIATION /12Z Sunday THROUGH Thursday/...
VFR conditions are anticipated through this evening before
patchy to areas of fog begin to develop across primarily the
eastern half of the area after roughly 06Z tonight. Confidence
in IFR/LIFR conditions is highest at KYNG, but a period of
MVFR (and possibly a brief period of IFR/LIFR) vsbys in fog is
likely at KMFD/KCLE/KCAK late tonight into Monday morning as
well. Can`t rule out a brief period of non-VFR conditions in fog
at KERI, but southerly winds may allow for locally higher
visibilities. Winds will be light and variable this morning
before increasing to 5 to 10 knots and becoming northwesterly by
early afternoon and north/northeasterly by early evening. Winds
will once again become light and variable after sunset.
Outlook...Outside of potential for non-VFR conditions in patchy
fog and low stratus each morning through Tuesday, VFR
conditions are expected through Thursday.

.MARINE...
Onshore flow around 10 knots or less will develop today and
persist through Monday. Canadian high pressure will build
southeast into the northeastern CONUS Tuesday through late week,
resulting in increasing northeast winds Tuesday through
Wednesday. Winds will likely reach 20 to 25 knots Tuesday night
through Wednesday night and the likelihood of a Small Craft
Advisory is very high during this time. Waves may take a bit to
subside in the western basin as east/northeast winds diminish to
10 to 15 knots on Thursday.
